The McMillan Family
According
to the files of Historical Foundation of the Presbyterian and Reformed
Churches, Montreat North Carolina,
The Rev Neill McMillan was re present when the church was organized. Neill
and his wife Mary were the parents of six children, Catherine, Mary Jane, Barbara,
Sarah, Murdoch, and Caroline. Murdoch McMillan married Mary Louisa Jackson,
and they had nine children. Neil Jonathan, David Jackson, Murdoch Archie,
Joseph Julian, Samuel Bloch, Charles Henry, and Annie Laurie. Joseph
Julian(Sr.) married Lula Missouri Davison, and had eight children: William M,
N. Lucille, Joseph Julian (Jr.), Lena McMillan, Charles Jackson McMillan
(Sr.), Lula Mae McMillan, Chester W. McMillan, and Olive McMillan. Charles
Jackson (Sr.) married Virgie Mae Loftin and they had seven children: 2 living
males, 2 living females, Charles Jackson (Jr.), Julian Loftin, and Samuel.
Charles Jackson (Jr.) married a living Watson and they had three children,
all living. That’s my branch of the McMillan family, but not my only
tie to Old Scotland. My mother is a descendant of the Simmons and Dunn
families. Tell us about your family!
Here’s
what I have on the
Descendants of Neill McMillan, a Family Tree Maker 10
Report.
Please
note that I have been as accurate as possible, but there are probably cases
where I do not have all of the information or may not have completely
accurate information. Please use this as a starting point for your genealogy
charts, but remember, never take anything as the Gospel truth unless you have
verified it yourself. I have made every effort to remove any reference to
living individuals in an attempt to protect their privacy but if I have made
an error and have left references to anyone who is still living, please let
me know and I will remove them immediately.
